My Thoughts!

Well as I have read through the discussions on the 20/20 interview, I see there are various feelings and opinions lingering out there, as well it should be. I on the other hand found the interview to be quite good for a number of reasons. The first segment was great with Bethy and Drew, and they got the important facts across I feel with that fact that there fertility treatments can send and woman or husband and wife to the poor house, because in fact a lot of insurances do not cover infertility. And just because someone is unable to keep shelling out ridiculous amounts of money doesn't mean that they shouldn't be able to become parents and if there are kind, respectful and genuine men out there who are willing to help those in need, with the gift of sperm donations then why shouldn't we be able to take advantage of the opportunities. And Drew came across very poised and well meaning as one of those donors. And as far as the segment with Trent I no comment, with all the articles that keep popping up about him, there are just no words. And Tanya, you know I have mixed feelings regarding that interview, because for all sense and purposes she's just one of us who joined the site to find a donor, who just ended up dating, in my opinion is it a good idea, not to me, but to each is own. I wish her the best of luck. But in turn that interview has sort of made KDR look almost like an online dating site to the general public, who have no idea what goes on, on this site for us women with pure intentions of becoming mothers. Now for the finale, Shadow Man, I'm sorry but I personally feel that when you enter into marriage you promise to "love, honor, respect and to be faithful". Now if you want to become a donor to help women achieve there dreams thats fine, if like I said earlier your intentions are genuine. But if that is the case then what's the problem in informing your wife that you're a sperm donor, oh let me think because any self respecting woman is going to be dead set against her husband sleeping with another woman, and  totally spitting on the vows that the two of you took. And trying to justify it saying "it's not a lie" well here's a wake up call for you, if it's not a lie then, where do you tell your wife you're going when you leave your home to donate to a woman, I'm pretty sure you don't say "uh honey im going to impregnate one of my recips", no you can't say that because she doesn't know. So you LIE. I LIE IS A LIE, NO MATTER HOW YOU TRY TO SUGARCOAT IT!!! And as for me, I am a God fearing woman, and I know that adultery in any form is a sin. Even if you want to dress it up as doing this to help women conceive, which is fine but if that's you're true purpose in it then Man Up and be honest about it, and stop justifying, and stop pushing your opinions on NI over AI on recipients, if you're really in this to help women conceive then what does it matter if a woman chooses AI or NI, IT SHOULDN'T BE A DETERMINING FACTOR IN YOUR DECISION TO HELP A RECIPIENT OR THE LENGTHS YOU'LL GO TO, TO HELP THAT WOMAN.

My name is Tiana and I'm a 36yr young single mom of two boys (10 & 17). I decided about a year ago that I'd wanted to add to my family, so for about the past four month I've been TTC. I'm also self employed, I'm a art buyer and I travel a lot bouncing from auction to auction.
